Canana is a film and television production company based in Mexico City. The company focuses on projects natured in Latin America with a worldwide perspective. This includes the development of films both in Spanish and English.

Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna and Pablo Cruz are the founders of Canana and their man objective is not only to develop projects that attain to their needs as actors and producers, but also to open doors to already existing but perhaps unexposed talent in Latin America; develop stories and films that respect our context, the audience and the director's vision; to produce film and TV with honesty and originality; and to create a true bridge between the Spanish speaking world and other audiences.

Canana has a first look deal with Focus Features for the development and production of feature film projects. This is an unprecedented opportunity for a Mexican production company to make films together with one of the most prestigious studios in the film world. In doing so, Canana seeks to deliver original and well crafted Mexican and Latin American films to the international market.
